Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is a registered charity in the UK, and registered at the National Secretariat for Non-Government Organizations in Sri Lanka under the Registration Number FL 51116. MAG has been conducting humanitarian demining in Northern and Eastern parts of the country since 2002.

MAG’s vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict. Since 1989 we have worked in more than 40 countries to save lives and build futures by: Reclaiming land contaminated with the remnants of conflict, such as landmines, cluster munitions, bombs, shells and mortars; Finding ways to reduce the daily risk of death or injury for civilians; Creating safe and secure conditions for development. MAG shares the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize as a founding member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines.

MAG Sri Lanka is seeking an experienced local consultant company / institution / service provider / trainer(s) to produce and deliver financial literacy training in Vavuniya district. The consultant company/ institution / service provider / trainer(s) bids must be submitted using the standard MAG Request for Proposal (RFP) Forms. The format and instructions should be strictly observed as per the attached ToR.

Scope of the work:
The scope of the assignment consists of:

  1. Designing financial literacy training curricula suitable for various groups of employees.
  2. Conducting group-based training sessions in Vavuniya district. Further locations in the North region might be identified.
  3. Providing individual financial counselling sessions for up to 15% of the staff upon their request.
  4. Monitoring and documenting the effectiveness of the pilot programme, and propose adjustments based on what has worked and not worked during the pilot

Methodology:
In person training and individual counselling for 80 MAG members of staff. This work is expected to take a maximum of 38 days, all inclusive.
